Some games are more CPU intensive while others are more GPU intensive. My current 8150 rig runs fine, however it outputs a lot of heat being AMD and does not have the best performance in games. I find games CERTAINLY playable, but the i5 will beat my CPU in EVERYTHING hands down.

I play battlefield 3, cod 4 ( which will run well off a potato ) but i did play almost pro so still dabble in that game, and i haven't really been playing anything else since my steam was hacked but when i buy this i will be buying some newer high end games the newer call of dutys and such

I got a serious case of the giggles.

Good luck then. You know what you're looking for. Check out that 7870 XT I mentioned. Should be perfect for your situation, but then since you're stretching your budget thus waiting a little time, just stretch it further and get a Haswell 4670k and GTX760 once they're out (a matter of week/s?)

I'm betting that GTX760 will have quick memory and will be cheap = huge bang for the buck. Should be better than GTX680 (stock) once overclocked, perhaps decently.

Haswell looks to be a good overclocker, especially on water keeping the temps down.

I think im in look guys... If i manage to sell this pc paired with the job i should be getting my budget goes up £700 so i can stay intel, have a good GPU and satisfy my OCD with a colour scheme :L im going to wait a while now to get the cash together instead of rushing into this build and not being satisfied with what i get. I made that mistake last time and almost made it again!

Scratch that....

The EVGA P67 FTW is now gone, it was price dropped on SCAN, no wonder it went tongue.gif
