Is there a way to split a PayPal donation? More details inside!

Hi there fellow OCNers,

I would like to know if it's possible to split a PayPal donation into different amounts based on a predefined percentage? And can I automate this?

Let me explain, I'm trying to build a music website where people will have the ability to donate money to the artist(s). The only issue is there are many artists/members to be paid per song. So the problem at hand is as described above. When someone donates money, I'd like to have a system set up that splits that donation up into different sum depending on a percentage.

Say for example 3 people worked on a song, they each put in 15%, 45%, and 40% of effort into the song. So they would get paid based on those percentage per each donation that was made.

Now back to my question, is there a way to code and automate a system such as this and make it work with PayPal?

I've seen people mention the PayPal API after a bit a googling, but I haven't found a good answer to my specific scenario.

All input is appreciated!

Thanks smile.gif
