I say either wait for the EVGA Classy or go ahead and get the Lightning.

Basically the Classified is the highest end of Evga right? Higher than the FTW?

Correct. The hierarchy is as follows:

Classified > FTW > Superclocked > Standard model

Usually the Classified and FTW models will have custom PCBs, whereas the Superclocked and standard models will use the reference PCB.

Well I just got the oc/gaming msi 770 and seems solid. I always hated the brown pcb msi uses but I other than that the card looks great and currently my fav 770 in design. With matx I didnt wanna try the lightning and I got lucky my local frys had one.

Havent overclocked it yet and only got to play bf3 10mins with it but it does 1183mhz stock boost. With the fan manually set to 100% its still WAY quiet, at least compared to a gtx670ftw I owned which was the stock 680 cooler.

Hoping to get more time with it this weekend but seems good like a good card especially at $399

The 670 FTW has a 680 reference PCB. So i guess they didnt go custom pcb with the 670 ftw ? Now we can only hope for a 780 PCB on the 770 FTW wink.gif..... hahah just kidding . Would be nice though.

I think the MSI would be a lot better for air cooling and the EVGA for water (just for the fact that MSI usually has custom boards while EVGA uses reference boards - perfect for full waterblock fitting).
