Heads up! - All nVidia owners!

The latest nVidia driver + geforce experience really messed with my OS.

I'm using Win7 x64 and running a GTX460 and after installing the above I had experienced (almost right away in bad driver terms, a couple of hours
after the update) hard hags, system lag and an overall STUCK OS.

I quickly went investigating and retracing my steps (they were still fresh) and a few event viewer logs confirmed my suspicions.

After going back to 314.22 all is well once more, I though it was important enough to share with you guys wink.gif .

isolated issue because I have upgrade two of my rigs with the latest drivers...
no issues.

select custom install option then check clean install.

and what games were you running and the rest of the system specs.?
there can be tons of factors at play here and without troubleshooting, your just cryin' to be honest.
so more detail please..

Alright.
No games were played.
I was idling not even FF was open the second time the hard-hang happened.

3570K (not OC'ed due to summer)
Asus Z77P8-V PRO.
GTX460 (idling)
Win7 x64 (minimum software running)
Nothing was Over heating, as I said it was idle.

And now that I'm back on 314.22 I haven't had a glitch, make of it what you will.

and when you went to upgrade the drivers did you install on-top of the previous drivers
or did you perform a clean install option like I mentioned earlier.?
also, is the GTX 460 the only GPU that has been used on this current Windows OS install.?

Yes to both.

(Clean + 460 only).

I've had the new drivers for a couple of days on W8 X64 and they have been 100% stable. smile.gif
