Games you just couldn't be bothered to finish that other people raved about... - Page 109

These are all on my steam account, collecting dust. lol

Borderlands 2. Never quite finished it and because of season pass I keep getting new DLC's so the to do list keeps getting longer.
Alice Madness Returns. Lost interest after 30 mins.
Alan Wake. Played for 2 hours then lost interest. Too busy playing something else.
The Darkness 2. Played 20 minutes.
Darksiders 1 and 2. Hack and slash is not my thing I guess.
Deadspace 1 and 2. Lost interest because too busy playing something else.
Mark of the Ninja. couldn't get into it.
Prototype 2. Totally forgot I even had this.
Red Orchestra 2. Game feels like total crap personally.

LA Noire. Played 6 hours never finished. I think I'll actually play this one again soon.
Skyrim. Lost all my damn progress due to format, didn't feel like leveling up and exploring all that from scratch again. However I just bought all the DLC's and started playing again today.

I'm about to start AC4 soon but I have to agree most of the AC games are kind of meh with all that clmbing and synchronizing, hoping this one will be less of that and more pirate ship battles.

I just tried the witcher 1 and the combat was so awful

Fallout 3 however is an amazing game.

Meh, it's still a lot better than Bioshock despite its 1999 visuals.

I don't know if people "raved" about it or not, but I'm probably going to bail on Burnout Paradise. I got it a few months back in a Humble Bundle. I really enjoyed a couple of Burnouts on my old Xbox 1, but this one just isn't working for me...I don't think the sandbox mechanic works well when I just want to start racing or crashing already!!!

I didn't beat Burnout Paradise either (got it out of the same Humble Bundle). It was fun for a bit but I got bored after a while. I missed all the modes in past Burnout games that were based around crashing especially crash mode. I know you could technically enter crash mode anywhere while free-roaming, but it just wasn't the same.

The bikes were also pretty fun but I really wish they had done a lot more with them. There was no selection and like two event types? It was disappointing.

Mass effect 1 was a truley amazing game. If you didn't start with it then I would recommend just playing that one. It's much better than the rest .

Any call of duty after mw3.

The dead space series.. the dead space series up to 2, are good games.. no lies, But EA unfortunately took system shock and threw it into a 3rd person view and a 10th of the game.
Even the missions and enemies are ripped from SS2.

Now your probably saying.. xeonic.. what about bio shock... Bioshock was good.. but once again missing a flood of game play and features..

Ha advanced engines and massive gpu's... hyped development.. these thing do not make a good game.
System shock 2 being a 700MB FPS... has more content and gameplay than any current fps's with their monster textures and their mind bending shaders...

the second game was a true slog for me. nothing great about it. generally just a chore to push through it.

the third game however... the DLCs were really rather strong for it, and the combat was better implemented then the rewrite in no.2... and overall it is pretty good assuming you played it when it was mature and had all the DLC for it. (of course without the DLCs the game was even worse then no.2). Some good humor in it, and it has a good end IF you have the DLCs.

but you're right. the first game was crazy good. combat was a bit challenging, but overall the game was freaking amazing top to bottom.
