Resident Evil 5.

I am a long time die hard Resident Evil fan ever since the original RE came out biggrin.gif
I hated that they changed the formula that I loved so much in RE4. RE4 was still a great game but it wasn't a RE game, it was RE in name only.
I then tried RE 5 when it came out- as soon as the "Manji" started firing guns!!!! at me, I hit the power button immediately and that was the end of that.

The only RE game that I have liked since the phenomenal Resident Evil: REmake on GameCube in 2002 is RE: Revelations on the 3DS.

Skyrim and Fallout, they seemed broken, the story line wasn't set, only free roam game I really like would have to be Just Cause 2.
Other than that, I've finished a lot of the other ones.

I didnt mind the play style of RE4 and really enjoyed it actually (though to be fair, it was my intro to the series). Going from RE4 to RE5 was a joke though. The whole game felt lackluster, no treasures to find =, no piecing together treasures for increased loot, hardly any puzzles to solve. RE5 felt skin deep in comparison to 4.

Though it wasnt bad playing it with my girlfriend I guess lol

I'd have to say Bioshock Infinite. I got it with the purchase of my graphics card, played it for about two weeks and just never wanted to keep playing.

The Witcher
GTA IV

Deus Ex HR
Alan Wake
Amnesia : A Machine For Pigs

It's even worse, it's more like a GoW game. The less said about RE 6 the better.

RE4 is a very good game- I just don't consider it a true RE game. They should of made a new IP with it, instead of slapping the Resident Evil name on it and shoehorning a Resident Evil character into it.

Fun fact: Devil May Cry was going to be Resident Evil 2, but they decided that it deviated from the Resident Evil formula too much, so, they kept the game but made it into a totally new IP- DMC. Which, was an awesome game (at least the first 2 anyway). They then made a true sequel to Resident Evil which was totally amazing- even though my favorite is, and always will remain the original RE.

This is what they should of done with RE 4- kept the game as it had a good successful formula, and given it a new IP like they did with DMC.

If you started Resident Evil with RE4 and found RE5 to be a joke/ lackluster then imagine what it's like for me who started in 1995 with the original.

I too started the Resident Evil franchise at the beginning. Here is what they should have done with RE4.

Not sure why they scrapped that and turned it into a shooter, but at least RE4 was a decent game like you say (but poor RE game).

Started in on Thief again, now that it's running slightly better. It's hard to call it Dishonored 2.0, anyone calling it that is either playing on easy mode, or not playing @ all. While the art direction is similar, it's not @ all the same. The stealth mechanics are much better, and the AI is much better... You also can't just blast through everything with a super natural pistol, & sword. Iv'e tuned my difficulty to the highest possible level, with no item flickers, no UI warnings when enemies are on to you, and similar things like that. Seems like it will be worth the 25$ i payed for it.

Resident Evil became a shooter because they sell way more copies that way. tongue.gif I haven't been able to complete one since the first two.
