Games you just couldn't be bothered to finish that other people raved about... - Page 125

That's easy Skyrim.
I played Morrowind for about 2 years. I played Oblivion for about 6 months straight, then came back to it later with a tons of Mods. I've been Beta testing ESO. Fallout 3 and Fallout NV as well.
So its not Bethesda... I just don't know Skyrim just never grabbed me. I loved Dragon fighting. That's all that was really exciting to me about it. They had took out aerobics and acrobatics at the point maybe that has something to do with it. To me Skyrim was dumbed down too much, or maybe I had just learned how to play it to well. I tried everything, jacking up the difficulty. That just meant I drank loads more potions. Class race combos that were kind of gimped at first. Nothing helped

Mods bro

Those add back some of the things that were removed (like the classes, birthsigns, and race attributes), and makes gameplay even more hardcore than the previous ones. It won't feel dumbed down anymore.

Oh boy, I have waaay too many games that other people have raved about that I never really finished...

Here are a few...

1. Deus Ex: Human Revolution (Played 19 hours of it. Eventually I got tired of the story and the colour scheme, I guess. And the gameplay got bland for me.)
2. Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War (I Dunno why. I guess I'll pick it up later)
3. Alan Wake (I guess it wasn't my type of game)
4. Crysis 2 (I sort of ran into a level that I didn't know how to complete, and then stopped caring. The graphics spectacle wore out on me)
5. All the Saints Row games after 2. (I loved Saints Row 2, but after 3 I lost hope in the franchise. 4 was sort of the nail in the coffin.)
6. Skyrim (after a few hours or so, I found it impossible to play without a ton of mods. And even with the mods I just didn't get it. This is coming from a girl who loved Fallout New Vegas too..)

Aand I think those are the most heinous ones...

Without thinking much I would say Borderlands and GTA4. The first one is a coop game that in single fail to amaze me, but I'm struggling to get to the end, and about GTA, maybe I'm bored of sandbox.

Mass Effect 3 - I could not even be bothered to play this game past the demo. After having to endure the horrific game-encompassing black hole, named Mass Effect 2, that was comprised of never-ending plot holes, retcons, bad dialogue, railroading, circular logic, bad writing, and so on. There was not a whole lot left in me to endure another mess of a game especially with the bad story leaked all over the net pre-release and post-release of the third game.

Dayz- Literally you have to use 3rd party tools to get it to work even if you bought the game via Steam.

Fear 2 and 3- No "good" multiplayer, no dedicated and 4on4 only. Original Fear MP had neither issue and was free.

Duke Nukem Forever- Would have liked better in the Gamecube era probably. Seemed like a Doom 3 mod.

Modern Warfare 2 MP- No Dedicated on Steam, Some guys created dedicated servers that worked great, Got a cease and desist letter.

Portal- Not my cup of tea type game.

Team Fortress 2- Since its free I feel like the learning curve to be even decent would be insane.

Shattered Horizon, MidnightClub 2- Wish I could take them out of my Steam Library list for good lol

Metro 2033, I've tried picking it up 3 times now and each time I lose interest a few hours in. The graphics are nice but I'd rather be playing Fallout.

How can you not like Midnight Club 2?

For me, it's: Dragon Age: Origins, Borderlands, Doom 3, Prince of Persias.
