lol. You ought to love my last sig quote. I mean, I guess they're impressive if you're coming from console games and never played a real RPG before. The Witcher is a slight, sneak peek into the RPG genre, nothing more.

For me it was Fallout New Vegas...I guess this one is partly my own fault because after playing modded Fallout 3 w/ all the expansions I just found New Vegas to be some what "dull" and the game play felt repetitive like a less impressive rehash of Fallout 3

Being a fan of the fallout franchise I guess when it came to New Vegas I set my expectations a little to high.

Most original, hardcore Fallout fans prefer NV to Fallout 3, since NV is a better RPG and keeps the original feel more than FO3. Gameplay is way better than FO3, from the reputation system to the weapon mods, amount of equipment available, special moves with melee/unarmed weapons, iron sights, hardcore mode, etc. But the world is a lot more dull, I agree. That is, until you use AWOP.

Besides, ME3 has the majority of the most amazing, memorable moments in the Mass Effect series. It shows a ton of improvements over the first two, only the last ten minutes or so has the potential to disappoint.
Tbh, ME3 wasn't terrible and I wasn't disappointed with the ending. It was however a fall off from 2, which I consider to be amazing. Side missions felt more important, but thats about all ME3 improved on.

The last mission was completely disappointing though. Compared to the last missions in 1 and 2, it was crap.

Now for on topic. I have a lot... but I'll just name a few.

Bioshock
Borderlands
Deus Ex: HR
Dark Messiah Might and Magic
SW:KOTR
Pretty much any final fantasy game.

These are very broad generalizations, but pretty much any game that deals with a post apocalyptic story is a pass from me. Playing through HL2 was a chore for me.

On a gameplay level: top-down, or point and click games like Diablo or Path of Exile are a skip for me as well. Also turn based combat is generally a pass from me, unless its something like pokemon.

General gameplay mechanics were much better than 2, and better than 1 in most ways. It was more refined, better AI, much more armor/weapon customization than 2, though it still didn't bring back the inventory. But the inability to holster weapons is... annoying. Thanks Bioware and Playstation 3!

Many of the best missions are in ME3 in my opinion, it has the most significant choices. And the Citadel is WAY better than ME2. But I agree about the last mission. Everything from when you returned to Earth felt quite generic. While ME2's suicide mission stands as one of the best quests/missions in video game history.

Yeah, there was a step up in AI and combat.

Suicide mission indeed was one of the best missions in a video game I've played though. I played through ME2 as my first game and after beating it I picked up ME1 and 3.

I forgot one big game to put on that list from before, Battlefield 3.

most people didn't like the witcher 2 because its super short, and feels unfinished. Which now makes total sense with the way they describe the witcher 3. They basically admit witcher 2 is proof of concept for a bigger game. By the time i was just starting to get into it, it finished.

My "non-hardcore, mak gam easee for dum man" take was that the tutorial taught you about 17 different combat controls, and players would probably find only about 4 or 5 of them useful throughout the game. If they had just taught you those 4 or 5, and REMOVED the other, unused features entirely (or hid them so that you only discover them midway through the game), it would be easier to figure out.

It was just especially insulting to end the tutorial by giving you a hardmode arena battle, and then inevitably tell you to set the difficulty to Easy anyway. I quit and uninstalled the game after that mockery of a tutorial.
