Games you just couldn't be bothered to finish that other people raved about... - Page 46

GTA4: Boring car chasing and slow story.
Yeah. It looked like it could be really great. My largest issue with it is that in-game tutorial sucks. It basically just flashes you a picture and gives a brief description about each thing does. It tells rather then shows.

Another game I could not get into was Dante's Inferno. Looked great, feels like a watered down God of War Knock off. Didn't play more then 10 minutes.

Assassin's Creed and Far Cry 2. Never touched AC and in FC2, I played like 10 minutes and never did again and to this day, it sits on the shelf. No one raved about FC expect complaints about repetitiveness.

The first AC was terribly repetitive. Each mission was the same thing basically, just harder enemies/different targets. They've gotten much better since then, sort of. There's quite a few side 'missions' are all basically the same, and their is also way too many collectibles.thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

Bioshock
Deus Ex
Deus Ex Human Revolution
Fallout 3
Mass Effect 2

Not single player games, but I couldn't get into:

Battlefield 3
Red Orchestra 2
Left 4 Dead 2

I can´t quite explain why, but to me these games lack that... "spark" that can make an experience truly amazing.

ALSO... People who didn't play mass effect 3 simply because they "heard the ending was bad" should really spend less time trolling forums/youtube and more time making your own decisions on what you think is good/bad. This applies to all aspects of life, relying on twitter/youtube/facebook for your views and opinions is...

that's fine i have plenty of other games i can play. I also spent a lot of time listening to my brother who had no issue forging spoilers to know what was going on, the short of it i was told the ending could have been better and that more or less fixed/expanded upon it with the DLC

Killing Floor, wish i had never bought it, it was sad knock off of L4D, i could walk through the level the zombies chasing me no problem it also seemed to have no formula for spawning special zombies they seemed to spawn randomly and far too often. that game is pile of crap.

No More Heroes
Shadow of the Colossus
Metal Gear Solid Saga
Asura's Wrath
SIlent Hill Series (up to 3)
"Tales of" series

But i also love many well regarded pc games

Planscape Torment
The Witcher series
TF2
Killing Floor
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series
Vampire the Masquerade
Amnesia

My taste kind of sucks I suppose. I can recognize the quality of games like Deus Ex, Unreal Tournament, Diablo II or the Fallout series, but I just can´t get into them redface.gif

Skyrim is defiantly not as easy to get into as oblivion was. I think part of it is the beginning is kinda lame and explains nothing other then generalizations though. For me it takes getting through the first few quests to really get into it.
