It isn't mostly length that will make someone not want to finish a game, it's interest and enjoyment.

Infinite was repetitive, so it FELT long.....
well I will agree, the actual "gameplay" of Infinite was very weak

but I found it serviceable enough and the game short enough to keep me interested to the end. And the ending was definitely one of the best endings to any kind of media. the way it makes you think and realize all the foreshadowing that you just didn't clue in on

Now wondering whether to start Dishonored, Mirror's Edge, or Tomb Raider

Can't bring myself to finish Hitman Absolution - shame, I really wanted to get lost in this game, but I find the detection system way too punishing the minute I take one wrong step that I just end up shooting through levels once **** hits the fan. Took a break, started it up after Infinite and gave up within 5 minutes

Can't understand why people can't finish Bioshock Infinite (when it's easy not be interested in or enjoy a Bioshock title IMO,) can't finish Hitman for one of the reasons I stated, enjoyment. tongue.gif

Bioshock Infinite and Max Payne 3 are so similar. They both have very good stories, but the gameplay is so repetitive.
It felt like a chore to complete both games.

Trying to really get into Splinter Cell but cant....choosing to play Bioshock Infinite for the 2nd time tongue.gif Core game mechanics dont change too much - but the story/atmosphere/pacing switch up enough to keep it interesting.

The last game where mechanics was the big draw was Batman Arkham City - best combat mechanics by far of any game.

I enjoyed Borderlands. It was fun, in an over the top, overbudget B-grade post apocalyptic sci-fi flick kind of way wink.gif

No replay value for me though. The Hunter was the only character I really liked.

I still haven't finished Oblivion. By the time I got the game running to my liking with the right mods, I was burned out and havent picked it up since. That weird leveling system really fracked up what could have been an awesome game. IMHO. rolleyes.gif Not surprisingly, I had the similar problems with Fallout 3. (Same game system?)

They really should add some random dynamic events to these games like Bandit raids and Radroach infestations to spice things up. tongue.gif

I never finished STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl or Clear Sky. I got close to the ending of both but stopped and never picked them up again. I finished Call of Pipyat though.
Man what a game. My most memorable moment was going through the tunnels to get to Pripyat. I was playing that part at like 3 in the morning by myself. The atmosphere of that game is a close tie with Dark and Demon's Soul. I've been meaning to finish it again, but I'm so damn lazy lmao. That's why I never finished all those games I listed before too. Just lost interest and moved on.
