Using a ps2 mechanical keyboard via USB.

I have a dell at101w and it worked great with my previous board that had a ps2 port.

Now I switched to a Intel dx58so with no ps2. What adapter could I get that supports nkey rollover and would handle gaming? I know a plug adapter won't work. I need a active adapter. Which one? They all seem to have problems.

Thanks for your ghetto guys.

No one has done this before and willing to share?

No plug I know allow full nkey rollover.
Just get a passive one and use 6 key rollover.

The only way to have USB doing n key rollover is for it to emulate a bunch of USB.

Shut down, plug in the passive adapter, and start back up. If that doesn't work, get a new adapter. Everything should be fine from there. And yeah, as far as I know USB is 6KRO, but really that should be sufficient.

EDIT: That's actually completely wrong, isn't it? It's PS2 to USB, and since the keyboard is PS2 only it doesn't have the circuitry to "talk" USB, so a passive adapter won't work. Sorry about that, I was thinking of USB to PS2. Something like this ought to do it for your situation: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000086TKU/qid=1086372767

Thanks for the advice. I looked up and found the adesso adapter which is half the price with more reviews. What do you think? My phone isn't copying right right now.
