Video Editing AND Gaming

Thread Starter
Hey guys! I have been a PC gamer all my life, and recently upgraded PC. But one area I know little about is editing, more specifically, editing with Adobe Premiere Pro CS6, which is what I will start doing.

I see many people get separate PC's for editing and so on. Some say Mac is better for editing with Final Cut Pro...

My Specs:
i7 3770k
GTX Titan
16GB Corsair Vengeance
Win7 Enterprise
240GB Intel SSD (520 series)
2tb wd green

I really don't want any slow downs, while playing games, but would really like to start video editing. I will only render 720p.

Thanks guys!

You have a really powerful rig here. I dont see any reason to face any problem with any task. Ofc you can always oc your cpu (with an aftermarket cooler) and gpu to gain some extra performance. Search ocn and you will find many useful threads!

Well your CPU is a bit over kill for rendering 720p video anything can do that really but it should do well for years to come.

is rendering stressful to the pc?

Rendering is mostly CPU intensive. 720p isn't going to be a huge challenge to a 3770k.
