can someone help me i need to know is my cooler good enough to cool my cpu on 4.4 or 4.5 ghz my cooler is cooler master hyper tx3

Ivy chips run very hot and need good cooling. That cooler is obviously a step up up from the stock cooler but, depending on your chip, it will not allow you to oc very far. Some Ivy chips are measurably hotter than others, and some need a lot of voltage while others need much less. Point is you won’t know until you try. You could be able to do 4.5 with a great chip, or only 4.2 with a not so great chip. That cooler would be holding you back though.

Welcome to ocn by the way. What motherboard are you using?
Here is how to get your rig in your posts:

Here is the guide you want to read for ocing your chip:
http://www.overclock.net/t/1291703/ivy-bridge-overclocking-guide-asus-motherboards

In it the recommendation is to keep your Prime95 testing temps below 95c, but I like to be more conservative, so I would say keep them below 90c.

Follow that guide and start with 4.4 and 1.2v but watch your temps very carefully, if any of your cores go over 90c then you should shut the test down. Or more conservative would be to start with 4.3 and 1.15v or so.
