Iracer freezes my pc when idle

As the title says, when I leave my pc at idle with the home racer page open it freezes my pc. My system is prime stable and have no issues with anything else. I can race for hours with no problems. This is happening in chrome explorer, I am about to try ie.

Any ideas?

Thanks

not enough details. what's the home racer page?

is this a game Ghost12? if so idling on a game for a few hours is prolly pretty bad for your temps, especially RAM if you drop a game to memory, what are your RAM temps?

It is a web browser game such as battlefield is launched within a browser, i have absolutely no temp issues. Yes is a racing simulator but this happens on the home page, no system stress whatsoever. In windows 7 i think this would be due to accelerated hardware but not sure in windows 8 could not find the setting.

perhaps this error..is more a curiosity than anything else. because you could just, not, leave that page open. smile.gif

but as far as hardware goes.. I'm guessing.. total guess, its a browser problem.. that it incorrectly eats up too much ram then freezes.

I'd also run memtest for a pass. just to make sure.

I don`t think you far from it there, i can leave bf3 battlelog open all day, it is some peculiarity regards this particular one although never crashes when actually racing no matter how long. I have now tried both chrome and ie. Strange but annoying but you did hit the solution, i have stopped leaving the page idling lol
