I saved my bios from gainward 680 gtx 4gb phantom and input your settings and reflashed it and now i have a 770 gtx 4gb phantom biggrin.gif i did use the more stable memory settings, start with i tried ur bios but i got a weird purple and green curupt layer when my computer rebooted so i figure that was unstable memory.

i had to register to type this question guys

first of all thanks to everyone did participate in this subject.

Anyways, i managed to flash my bios, now my gtx 680 run @ 770 bios
am just wondering how am i going to benefit from this, whats the next step
am tryng to overclock it, dunno what to do with the voltage controller
there are 2 voltage options:
Minimum: its set at 0.9
maximum: its set at 1.212
did proirtize the temp and did put it at 95
did put +90mhz to my core
dunno what should i do and change guys, taking into consideration am running it at air, using gigabyte WF3

and btw the driver did crash and recover only once with these setting, its something happen even when am using default setting.

I had a similar issue... Basically it looked like temps and voltage wasn't holding back my oc's.
I could only max at 135x core and 178x vram..I wasn't too impressed as I couldn't use the uefi fast boot either so I flashed the stock 680 ROM and called it a dat

the benefit is that the 770 is basically a 680 on steroids so its faster gpu and memory speeds and so your card has higher bandwidth.

when you say priortise temp to 95, that doesnt sound good, what you should do is not overclock the card anymore than the 770 bios is, and make sure you have enough case fans to keep it cool because you dont want temps over 80 24/7 ideally
post #268 of 389
Just note that the 770 vBIOS may actually be slower, in most cases it is. It only has faster vram speeds but 99% of 670/680s can get that anyway removing the need for it.

The only thing it has going for it is that boost2 which is useless unless you're being throttled due to temps.
