CM Elite 430 RC vs. Zalman Z11

I'm confused between the two cases. Which one would be the better option for me? I have the ASRock Extreme3, an ATX mobo.

Depends on what you are looking for. Obviously, you like the looks of them, so it comes down to other options. The Zalman appears to have better cable management options, but the CM-430 has a side window, and is a bit smaller. Just pick the one which meets your needs. Both will fit your mobo.

I know it's stupid question but based on functionality alone, both will serve the same purpose right? I mean is there a chance that these cases may not be compatible with my motherboard? Sorry again for the lame question, it's just that I tried to run my new rig on an old Dell casing and turns out that my motherboard needs a different form of cable/header for the power button than that supplied by the Dell case.

That is the main thing, both will fit your mobo. I would choos the Zalman Z11 since it has better cable management plus the HDD's bays face sidewards which makes it easier to install drives. this is one of the best things i have found in cases and cable management as well

Z11 has HDD vibration isolation and those scale looking vanes over the top fans might cut down on noise. Zalman's fans nowadays tend to be a bit smoother running than Cooler Master's. It looks like both leave a bunch of fan placements empty.
