Back on topic. I bet this is gonna be a disappointing announcement.
The last time all of us in my family used a desktop was never ... I only used laptops before this, had a Q9400 + GTX260 before it died last year and really before that desktop i was on TX2028AU ... And now i am the only one who is 100% desktop
Goes to show that the desktop market is shrinking in all dimensions. Even enthusiasts.

if they dont announce 8xxx/9xxx series very soon, they are shooting themselves in leg and can prepare for 80-85% nvidia marketshare

The best time to launch would be late October early November with the AAA game titles that should be a bit more taxing on video cards since their console target will be PS4 and Xbox One.

Now if they are planning to wait for a full 20nm next gen launch in early 2014 then they'll just have to rely on bundles and price drops to keep the market share bleeding to a minimum.

but if there are less desktop gpus sold because of notebooks, tables and haswells higher igpu performance, then actually the enthusiasts market share should rise, as there are less desktops actually build and less demand for 7770 and such cards

Pretty sure they said they'd support PS4 as well.

PhysX is in itself a physics engine/library, so that doesn't necessarily mean you HAVE to have hardware-accelerated physics for it to be considered PhysX. Chances there won't be any hardware accelerated PhysX on next gen consoles.

They announced it was available but not that they would the Physics engine of choice as it where. If they only offered the CPU version then in all honesty they are the worst choice.

a picture of a robot/suit thingo, AMD really takes the guessing game out, it will be obviously something gaming related, like a graphics card.

Interesting, but I would be amazed if these were a new graphics cards.

However, why would they post this with Radeon Graphics twitter account?

AMD has few accounts on twitter, this is the only one that posted this.
