2 fan in the laptop ? I doubt there would be enough space for 2 fan.. is this what you meant ?
I double checked the bios (Phoenix Secure core tiano v2.30) and I did'n't see anywhere I could turn this Thermal Throttling on/off..
Here's a little shot of my bios, maybe I missed something ? http://youtu.be/9rDNNQ2SjUA
(let me know if you want me to shoot it in HD, i'll post in right away cuz it's not quite clear on medium quality)
As you can see there's not much setting in that Bios. Could you help me find a better one ? I'm not very at ease at flashing Bios actually... I'd like to make sure I won't messup everything, I need the good Bios version...
I have 2.30 version.. There is the 2.40 version available here but i'm don't know if I should trust this source... The Phoenix Core web site bios update actually redirect to some third party junk driver shareware.. It's a shame..
EDIT: I just tried to install the 2.40 driver and It won't even start installing. It gives me this error:
Firmware does not have Flash (AFUWINGUI)support
EDIT #2: I just tried to reinstall the stock Toshiba Bios (2.30) and it won't even re-flash either :| here's what I get (yea I ran as administrator): http://prntscr.com/185rx9
EDIT #3: Just received my TIM (IC Diamond) 7 . I'll apply got get some thermal pad and start this job tomorrow to the least. Also, I'd like to get some home-made Fan cooling dock (like a real fan in a box on which I put laptop).. Do you know where I could get some ? (Most commercialised such dock are meant for laptop, so not so powerfull... not sure if they would be enough... I think I'd need some Desktop PC FAN in that dock.. Unless there are some that are actually that powerful ? You know somewhere I can get some ? or even of some ppl building and selling some ? I'm not so good at DIY stuff ... I wouldn't so mind so much paying for it..
Anyway i'll first do the jobs I have to do then we'll see if I still need it. Thanks for your continuous help JimUpdate:
(lol): Could there be hidden settings menu from my bios ? (Phoenix securecore tiano bios 2.30)
While trying to find some "universal" Winflash bios update tool , I fell on this Asus page where I could download a very recent version of Winflash (2.42 - 2013.03.28 update) .. This one works but I'm clearly not at ease of flashing bios with a tool taken from Asus website.. Should I ? link: http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&p=3&s=110&m=WinFlash&os=30&hashedid=n/aEdited by marccoc - 6/4/13 at 3:37pm
