Y510p expected release and price

Thread Starter
I was going to buy the IdeaPad Y500 with the dual GT 750m configuration...it would have cost me around 1150$ ...But then I remembered that the new haswell processors are around the corner...after some googling I found that a new revised model named the Y510p is going to launch
So my question is, Should I buy the y500 with specs
i7-3630QM
16GB ram
1TB 5400rpm HDD+ 16GB msata cache drive
dual GT 750m GPU in SLi
4 weeks shipping time

Or wait for the y510p
Its rumored specs are
Haswell equivalent processor
16GB ram
1TB 7200rpm HDD+ 24GB msata cache drive
And the dual GT 750m GPU

My budget is 1250$ max
Also I need it before the end of July
So what is the expected price and release date of the Y510p
And should I wait for it?

Yes the Sager is a good machine...But in order to get specs equivalent to that of the lenovo I need to spend at least 300$ more...my budget is strict
Also the GT650m sli outperforms the GTX 670m, so I'm pretty sure that the GT 750m sli will do the same in regard to the GTX 770m
I can live with micro stutter

SAGER NP8230 it was released yesterday

And for your notice the Ultra bay that lenovo uses dosent have an SLI connector and it will perform badly ,
Overclocked GTX 670mx = Overclocked GT 650m SLI
Overclocked GTX 660m= Stock GT 650m SLI

So lets wait and see the performance!

Quote:
the GT 750M SLI performs similar to a single GeForce GTX 675MX
Quote:
The graphics performance of the GeForce GTX 770M is situated between the old GTX 675MX and 680M high-end graphics cards

The new XoticPC models are actually very interesting, but the most, in my opinion, is the 6652
http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np6652-clevo-w650sr-p-5846.html

because:
a. GTX 765M for less than 1000$ - actually a > GTX 670MX performance, makes it the Y500 direct competitor easily.
b. IPS SCREEN????? anyone knows anything about it?

I know it might be for college or school, but isnt 15" too small ? you can connect to a bigger display but even so, i have a 15.4" 16:10 and its definitely an inch or so to small to get that perfect size

i think some of the new samsung notebooks are a good option with the 8 series amd gpu, they offer 17" screens but the overall weight and size is as good as a decent 15" .. why not get the extra space?

by the way, the Y510p is available on newegg, but better wait for reviews

Its a GDDR3 GT 750M, which is about the same as a GTX 660M, or just a tick faster.
