Voltage Problems

Okay my previous thread was about temperature, but I solved that by turning off overclocking. This is my first question. When I uninstalled easy tune 6 My cpu said it was still at 3.8ghz instead of standard 3.4 under computer properties. By the way specs are

Z77X-UD3H
gtx 660 ti
intel 3570k

So I don't know why it did this because it said that the cpu clock was set to 3.4ghz in bios. I'm completely new to all this stuff so I'm still trying to get a bit of a better understanding for it. I ran 'without' overclocking for a while but decided I wanted to boost my fps in gaming again. Because I uninstalled easy tune, I tried using the bios. Set the O/C at 4.3 and these are the recorded results with different programs

The temperatures are staying pretty constant with Prime 95 running, but it's sacrificing for Frame rate. I'm getting the same frames as before I overclocked. Also before I opened the game, my core speed was fluctuating between 1600 mhz and the clocked 4300, but as soon as I opened it it stayed at 4.3, why is this? And why am I at the same frame rate, and also why has the temperature dropped? I'm not too sure being a newbie and all, but I think it's to do with voltage? Can someone please tell me how I can get the most out of my overclock while maintaining stable temperatures? Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated

Thanks

First off, are you folding? If not, I'm not sure why you're posting in this subforum. You'd probably have better luck posting in the Intel subforum.
I would fill out your rig in your profile and have it shown in your signature. That helps a lot.

The frequency being at 3.8GHz is because this processor has a turbo frequency of 3.8GHz. That means when it will overclock to 3.8GHz right out of the box when it is under a load.

OK, getting that out of the way, what is the voltage problem? You were experiencing higher temps with a different overclock? Voltage can definitely cause that.

Overclocking your CPU won't necessarily increase your FPS. There's a lot of factors that could affect your FPS. Your bottleneck is probably at your video card if you're not seeing any FPS difference.

You'll see fluctuating frequencies if Speedstep is enabled. If you start something like Prime 95 it will stay at 4.3GHz because it's using 100% of your processor. After you close it it will back down.

4.3GHz is a fine overclock for someone with no experience. Your temps look great.

I don't think you read the question.
