1000w PSUs cost a lot more than a cheap 430-550w PSU. This is probably going to be around the i7-3770k price (or greater) if what is shown specwise is to be believed. You are going to have to invest in a much better cooling solution to even keep that heat under control. All of that adds up. At that point, I'd just go LGA2011 for better performance than this "FX-9000" for around the same price because I wouldn't have to buy such a large PSU, wouldn't have to buy such a ridiculous CPU cooler, wouldn't have to buy a motherboard that is going to have enough power phases to even think about powering this (that gets expensive). Just doesn't make any sense for them to release a chip like this.
Wish they'd actually take their time with Steamroller than releasing inane crap like this. I want them to succeed for once.

Pretty much gets it.
