220W TDP is ridiculous, it shows all the limits of AMD in building cpus ...

That's why I said most games. Sc2 was released around 2009 and the expansion dident ad any optimization so sc2 is not a good stick to measure a CPU with.

Yes AMD could use a increase single thread performance but that hardly qualifys it for all the hate it gets. Case in point it hung in their with the big boy 3770k in crysis 3.

The problem with sc2 is not that its old. RTS games and multithread is not going together. Its difficult to code an rts for more than 2 cores

That was back in 2007. Six years later, and we still have a popular RTS game that can't take advantage of more than two cores, and an adventure game that was written in the obsolete x87 instead of SSE.
