Not for the last generation they haven't. Fx chips OC to 4.8 easily while even on water ivy chips and now haswell don't without deliding.

I prefer intel my self for sc2 and folding at home, but I really hope AMD releases a chip the blows intel away. Just so some of the elite guys can have some humble pie.

Back on topic the die leak was not a normal vishera so it's not just a over locked 8350. Also everyone should be happy competition breeds benefits for us end users.

Wasn't that die leak of Steamroller? Or has their been another die leak?

To get the most on air or water you need to delid or get very lucky with a golden chip and 4.7 doesn't impress me. I want over 5ghz

your a funny / fickle guy...
you want 5.0GHz like it's some barrier you need to breach, never-mind if it's with a lesser chip.?
whichever chip IB or Haswell @ 4.6GHz (for Haswell sake) is gonna outperform the AMD chip.
and if you wanted to get 5.0GHz so bad then SB chips can do that straight up more than IB anyways..

Don't lecture me like im some noob. You think I don't know that a 4.6ghz Haswell will be faster then a 5ghz vishera? That's not the point. I'm bored with Haswell as I'm bored with ivy and intel in general. Can't some of us want something different? Broadwell will be the same thing as Haswell and so on. Time to move onto something else

Why do you care so bad? You act like its your job to "school" anyone who even consideres going AMD. it's how money let him do as he wished. I owned two Sandys two ivys and one six core vishera recently. I found the overclocking on the vishera much more involved an fun. Any noob can OC a intel chip. It's more engaging on AMD. Does it net more top end performance? No but who cares when your already pulling great scores/FPS.

For someone who is allegedly as experienced as you claim to be, you seem to forget how inferior intel use to be compared to AMD.
