Here I've highlighted the parts I found comical in their posts.

1. Stating a 30% IPC increase like it's fact and has already happened.

2. Claiming AMD "supremacy"

You know what they say, "seeing is believing".
Ah, true. The future part confused me.

That's due to Huddler more than anything, it started when went to that and is one of the primary reasons I went to Chrome as its multi-process architecture means that only those tabs start to slow down.

That's pretty freaking high, I assume a lower watt chip (standard 1.35/1.32) for AMD would do much better on temps with my cooling. So I just assume this should be enough, at least for no OC. LC should easily take that 220w TDP and handle it. Might be pushing AC but it'll at least get the job done, maybe a fan boost (such as a 100CFM fan), but that's a minor upgrade when you consider the total speed increase.

220w isn't hard to cool for a CPU, sure a stock cooler won't suffice but bundle in a H60 clone or something and you should be fine.

Regular 7970 has 250W TDP and so does GTX680. So yea. If you have already those monsters i dont know why would you care that much about CPU it makes no sense.

That is why it is stupid, reactions like this:
220W TDP OMG impossible to cool off!

While he has 7990 that has 350W TDP or something similarly ridiculous smile.gif

I know what you mean but the Titan is actually a 250W TDP ... And 7970 GHz is truly, truly a 220W TDP. Refer to Sapphire 7970 (the 1.05GHz version)

I seriously doubt it. Let me clarify that. It won't work without serious liquid cooling like an H100 i minimum. Not at 5 GHZ. This is Vishera not your x4 or x2. It is a heat pig. I know . I have one. You damn well will need a good motherboard with it . Not any Asrock Fatality 3 or Asus M97. At least a Gigabyte UD5 or a Asus Sabretooth Release 2. Or an Asrock Fatality 9. They all have good VRM.s high quality capacitors.

Nope. Most high-end air coolers are good for 220W, hell even my Twin-tower is good for over 250W if i accept 60C. H100 = 400W over watts ... if 60C is acceptable. This isn't Ivy Bridge

I ran a FX-+8150 @ 5.2 on a Thermal;right Silver Arrow (3x FAN) before going water with good results. and those were a bit more power hungry that the 8350's

I'll tellyou this loud and clear. You did not run it under full load with IBT AVX or OCCT for at least 20 to 30 minutes and pass without error. If you say you did you have no honor.

47 minutes OCCT @ 77C no errors...oh well, there goes my honor and 20+ years experience. (louder and clearer)
