[ tweaktown.] Intel Core I7 4770K and Z87 Express chipset Review - Page 2

Tweaktown reviews are weird, they are testing CPU performance using AVP, what the hell?

This confirms that Haswell is a failure for overclocking though, it's even hotter than Ivy :/ Performance at same clock is barely better than 3770K. Intel has been very disappointing after Sandy.

Power consumption looks pretty good thumb.gif

But damn that chip gets hot at stock speeds let alone the 4.6 GHz OC they managed thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

Wow, I'm starting to think that Haswell are kinda worst at temperature than Ivy
post #19 of 52
The results, which seem like a mild improvement over Ivy temp issues aside, seem in line with every rumor and hypothesis thrown here for the past two months. If you're not on Sandy/Ivy, upgrade. If you are, check if it warrants spending 340$ on new proc+220$ motherboard. So pretty much spot on speculation. Good job OCN!! thumb.gif

Fairly boring, if you ask me. More interesting is that Elric Phares guy comments, a fairly knownYoutube videoreviewer, biatchin' and bickering cause TweakTown stole his spotlight. Probably he was thinking of releasing his videoreview in another cool but cheating timezone and rack in hits and Youtube payments. I guess his candies were stolen by TweakTown. yessir.giflachen.gif
