Or for gaming would you just buy a 3770k?

For gaming, I'd grab a 3570k and spend the savings on better graphics.

um... considering the enthusiast grade cpu is priced only less than 100$ cheaper, i think its worth it to pay a little extra.

depending on what you could buy the 3770k for.

I guess you could take into account whether or not you are going to be using high demand game environments ( eyefinity, 120hz, 1440p, upcoming "4k res") with multipleflagship GPUs

also what are you cooling it with? Mobo? Overclock?

Guess when i think about it more there is alot to consider..
FOR ME PERSONALY i would probly get the 3930k, but im one of those that endlessly upgrades and i dont plan on stopping. i worry when my 1090t is gonna start holding me back (if it isnt already)

The real question is if you already have a mobo what socket is it for? If purchasing a new mobo either way they I say go for the gusto, but if you already have a Z77 mobo stick with a 1155 cpu.

I sure would buy the 3930k for 380$ a new i7 3770k can easily be 350$ with taxes here in canada.
You can always sell you current mobo/cpu to invest in the 3930k/x79 board.
Then again, I have a bad habit of upgrading parts every few months even if I don't need to.

That's a great price for an awesome cpu.Go for it. The two extra cores will come in handy when the new consoles come out.thumb.gif
