No XP drivers? Gigabyte's site has this to say on the download page:

"Most hardware/software vendors may no longer offer drivers to support Win9X/ME/2000/XP SP1/SP2. If drivers are available from the vendors, we will update them on the GIGABYTE website.

Hoping there is an obvious answer to this, but how do I run on trusty old XP for older benches?

I'm referring to wprime, superpi etc. Appreciate any help:)

sure, so they will give it some support, i mean for USb 3.0 you are SOL because intel themselves don't support XP for Intel USB 3.0 But you should be able to get ME and chipset drivers, and GTL will also work with XP. Can you try the DVD ROM provided?

That was fast! Will try the dvd, just need to dig out a drive.. I haven't used the included disc in a long time, didn't think of that, lol.

A quick look around shows no xp drivers on asus & msi as well, interesting...

Thanks for the response, will report back

you might be right, i thought i saw some XP drivers somewhere, but now that i check asus's sit I also don't see XP drivers frown.gif might be just out of luck for the most part. If you find drivers on other sites they should still work on your board as long as they are Intel drivers.

They might be a way to make it work, but I'm stumped and want to put this baby through it's paces.

Gonna go with vista x32 for now, thanks again for the inputthumb.gif

Edit: Or perhaps not, only W7 & 8 drivers available

Yes because people boot at the frequency they bench at. Anyways checked with intel they are dropping all xp support and will even drop more OS support in the future... frown.gif not on this chipset tho
