Razer made me cut the cable on my Black Widow Ultimate

So I was having problems with my black widow ultimate. They made me send it in. Got another one in the mail but it was in worse shape than the one i sent in. They made me cut the cable on it and take a picture of it with the serial number and everything that is on the back of the keyboard. They are now sending me a new one. I am trying to put it back together so I can give it to my fiance. Has anyone done this before?

I've done it but haven't tried to get it back together. It looks like it'd be an easy solder, but I doubt that's the case.

It's just USB and audio wires... it's an easy fix BUT the wires are pretty fine.
Once again...

Title is misleading

That is the worst customer service I have ever seen. My desk next to the risk management department at my work and we would much rather give product (or money) away then to tell a customer to destroy the product. If they have given you two defective products, they should do one of two things: send you a new one (retail packaging, sealed) with no questions asked, or send you a refund.

Alright guys I actually got it up and running. It looks a slight wonky but the average computer user would not notice it at all.

Send you a new one, then ask for the old one to be returned.
Or give a refund, then ask for the old one to be returned.

They can't just give you a new one, or give you a refund without confirming if the old one is really defective, otherwise customers will just end up having two or 3 working products.

We consider that the cost of doing business. How many customers are actually trying to scam us? Not that many.

Also, every time you make a customer service claim, your name goes into a database. Give me your name and phone number and I can look up all the other companies you've made customer service claims to. We evil corporations are always watching you. whistle.gif
