Intel Haswell i7-4770k vs Ivy Bridge @ 4.6GHz Overclocked CPU Tests - Page 3

Yep, Im coming from a X58, but not only the CPU will be faster and clock higher then my i7 920, but the additional features on the motherboard is the major factor for my upgrade (SATA3 for new SSD's, USB3, PCI-E 3.0)

For new PC builders, a nice choice.
Which next generation do you think is going to be the best in overclocking?

None. Intel doesnt care about the 1% of overclockers.

Meh. Probably gonna pickup a LGA 1155 board today. The only way I would be interested in a Haswell chip would be if the overclock temps were somewhat more in line with the 3770K.

I'm building a Z77 system right before Haswell comes out, and I'll build a Z78 before the next gen after that.

Why? Better BIOS, later motherboard revisions, later CPU steppings and generally better drivers. All at a perfect price:performance point for me.

I caved, alot of good points where made, and my wife surpised me with some extra money and just bought me a High end z87 board, so I am going from a x58 board to a Haswell. just now have to wait until chips are released to buy it.
