Help Converting laptop screen for desktop!! (LCD vs Retina) - Page 2

post #11 of 13
From what I have found the retina displays use a eDP 30 pin connector. I found a couple websites where someone was trying to re-engineer a controller for a macbook pro but they never updated their findings. Still looking tho

1920x1080 = 2,073,600
2,073,600 / 800 (square CM of 17 inch display) = 2,592 per square CM if i did this correctly.

2560x1440 = 3,686,400
3,686,400/2,010 (square CM of 27 inch display) = 1,834 per square CM if i did this correctly.

assuming I didnt screw this up, the 17" 1080p display has a higher pixel density than your 1440p 27"...

moar is not always better. might want to do a little of the google before you reply rudely next time.

I had 3x 1080p monitors in eyefinity and pefer my single 1440p screen as it looks better!, i get what your trying to say but at the end of the day its still 1080p..

I really want 3x of the 1800p screens for a portrait setup, i don't care for any setups involving 1080p panels
