Would you say an EX240 w/ Coolermaster Excalibur's is better than RX240?

XSPC Rasa isn't the best choice for a waterblock, but doesn't justify temps of 80+ celsius.

The temps for the graph listed was running on the following CPU
i7-3930K @ 4.8GHz, 1.45VCore
and had 5x120mm rads.

Yeah, you shouldn't be getting anywhere near 80 with your setup.

Were I you I'd do a couple things, in order of how I list it.

Get a different TIM, CL Liquid Ultra is the best, or Arctic Silver if you're budget spender.
Reseat your CPU waterblock, and retest.
If that doesn't help, get another CPU Waterblock, the XSPC Raystorm is the best price to performance waterblock right now.
If you still aren't satisfied add 120mm of radspace to your loop.

rasa is still a great block at its time it was the best might not be as good now but still a very good block. Im running 5ghz on 1.48-1.52 and i see max temps of 80c prime95 blend using a rx360 and rx240 with push pull on both rads yate loon highs full speed with 2 7970s in my loop also.

When I do upgrade, it will probably be to a Heatkiller Rev 3.

Right, but upgrading to a modern block could easily shave around 10degrees off.

Do you plan on having any other waterblocks you plan to add to your loop? If you ONLY plan to cool your CPU I would use the Phobya UC-2 because it has the best temps out there currently, and it has EXTREMELY consistent temps across mounts. The only thing about it, is it is EXTREMELY restrictive, so if you have OTHER waterblocks in your loop, it's no good as it will decrease performance.

There is a 25% chance I will add a waterblock to my GPU, but if I were to, it would not be anytime soon at all.

The Phobya looks really easy to install compared to my Rasa (the backplate kept falling off so I needed two people haha)
