Need help overclocking FX-4350 to 5GHZ+

I got a bottleneck on my hands I kind of regret not going with an i5 cpu I figured I'd save some money by going AMD now I need to overclock to lessen the bottleneck.

I'm playing games @ 1080P now and am going to upgrade to 1440 monitor in the future maybe that will help too.

Specs:

AMD FX-4350 stock 4.2Ghz
EVGA GTX 680 superclocked
Corsair H70 water cooler
8GB RAM (4x2GB) 1600Mhz
ASUS motherboard
750 watt corsair psu

Do you think an 800mhz increase will require me bumping up the voltage I don't really want to mess with the voltages. Any ideas I've never overclocked a cpu in my life lol.

Of course you will need to increase the voltage.

How much and how many increments should I go up by .1?

You are going to be around 1.55v on the CPU voltage for 5.0ghz.

I read AMD gets unstable after 1.5 is that true?
Raise your multiplier a few points at a time and then test for stability before just straight increasing the voltage. IntelBurnTest, Prime95, and OCCT are all good programs to use for that. When you get to the point where your computer either blue screens/crashes (BSOD's) or has a core fail in the programs (like in prime95 or IBT) then you should increase voltage.

You should check out the Phenom II/Deneb overclocking guide even though you have an FX processor because the principles and methods you use are pretty much the same. The only difference really is that you dont have to overclock your Northbridge (CPU-NB) or Hypertransport (HT-Link) for performance boosts.

And no that's not true. You can run up to 1.55 through them all day as long as you have adequate cooling. AMD processors love good cooling because of the voltage required sometimes.
