I know ive crossed over the green side.lol But no doubt at some cases there will be a bottle neck with these two paired up coz of the CPU. how good/bad will it be?

Comments and Suggestions please to have some enlightenment about this issue. =)

I'll be honest with you, unless I'm missing something I don't think there will be a bottleneck at all (you'll be very close though) thumb.gif

Hmmm interesting. =) Can you explain why? hehe

I gave my brother one of my 580 GTX's and there's a slight bottleneck (not really noticeable) paired with a Q6600 @ 3.4ghz. That's the easiest example I can come up with to explain it. At stock clocks your CPU is more than x2 as powerful CLICK.

Some of the latest benches that came out with haswell claim an A8-5600k running at stock is the min quad core cpu you need to avoid bottle-necking ANY single core gpu setup. The average FPS difference from the a8 to the top end SB/IB/HW chips averaged out to 1fps... there were some outliers (Civ5) but on the whole there was almost no difference from a high end cpu to the low end A8

The 965be is faster then the a8-5600k.

you won't bottleneck at all. Now if you were SLi'ing you probably would see some sort of bottleneck.

Thanks for the comments! =) Truly appreciated. I guess im gonna hold on to my rig for a few more months or years i guess. =)

It depends what games you play but as others have said i doubt you will have a problem. Those quad and hexacore phenoms still have life left in them wink.gif

I used a 965x4 in crosshair v paired with a gtx570,,no bottleneck at all,,the 965x4 isn't that bad of a chip,,,,i upgraded from that chip to a 1090tx6,,,still no bottleneck,,,but there almost the same chip minus 2 cores,,,in fact I think the 965x4 gamed better than the 1090tx6 but that's just me
