the CPU's themselves are $70 cheaper than newegg

You also pay taxes on their items and there are only a handful of locations across the country. They also will not ship them so that's another expense that is spared.

Mostly, I believe it's just a way to get people in the door. You go for the CPUs and then you're like "wow, I saved X amount of dollars so I'm going to buy some ram, power supply, graphics card, etc. all of which seemed to be priced quite a bit higher than Newegg and such.

who is going to get one and test if they fixed the bios issue"s?

I may end up going with the EVGA FTW, it does look pretty nice to me.

I HOPE THEY FIX what ever issues they are having this time around!

I tried to find anything on the delay for the ROG boards but nothing is mentioned. On Asus' website, they announced yesterday that the Extreme, Gene-Z, and Hero would all begin shipping June 2nd with the launch of the Haswell Processors followed by the Formula in the following weeks. However, there's not a single online store that has them in stock. NCIX will allow you to order them but they are listed as being on backorder and will ship whenever they get stock. This is very strange....

Regardless, I will wait until Newegg gets them in stock to order my 4770K and Gene-Z but my face will probably look like this until that time mad.gif. lol

Just bought mine! I got up a little early today since I went to bed early last night. Figured id check newegg to see if Haswell showed up yet and it was! yessir.gif
I went with the ASRock extreme 4, fits my needs and not a bad price IMO.

As for the the CPU fan uh, I bought the ZALMAN CNPS9900MAX-B. Anyone know if this will fit on the Haswell?? Pretty please? worriedsmiley.gif

You clearly do not know anything about what Haswell is.

They should be released within a week most likely.

Those asrock boards are nicely priced

Haswell is a tock, just cause for what you use a PC for didn't get a huge upgrade, doesn't mean it's not a good improvement. Haswell is better for mobile platforms with the great power efficiency.

Definitely this ^ The Z87 motherboards bring a TON of new features from all around, water resistant coating, new heatsink designs, mSATA, better networking and audio chips, more native SATA/USB, better internal components, diff color schemes, etc etc etc

Are some of these features gimmicky? Sure. Are some of them not a big deal? Sure. But they're there, and it's only beneficial to us.

No one said people were buying them because they'll be better overclockers man.

Cannot wait to see how low MC can go on the 3770K considering that 4770K price.
