That's why I need to find one at a thrift shop, that they don't know is very good. Often times non-computer people can't judge a random computer's worth.

I really don't think you'll find a PC able to playback 720p video for $50 or less. Anything sold that low is gonna be 10+ years old, and anything that old doesn't have a processor OR graphics processor capable of that kind of playback.

That's why I'm thinking maybe I can find a junker that I can just rob parts off of. From the thrift store or the flea market. Most people don't know how to work on computers.

Some have said that its unlikely you'd find a computer that cheap. I'd agree, but I remember the lowly e4300 dual core from intel. I'm hoping those are starting to be out there in bulk these days.
