The laptop is a series 5 NP500P4C samsung laptop.
I understand that due to air flow, congested components, and many other reasons, laptops in general have higher temperatures than desktops. But I have no prior laptop experience so I am not sure if the temps I am getting is normal or not.
My normal desktop temperatures just go in about 40-60 degrees(CPU) already during gaming. And my CPU is already overclocked at that, with just stock cooling. The laptop however is on normal temps, 48-50 and it goes all the way to 80-95 when I play Dota 2.
I don't notice anything significant in performance (i'm actually pretty happy it works faster than my desktop) But are these normal temperatures for a laptop? It's like almost 3x hotter than the desktop. I don't want to put my laptop in danger of damage due to heat.
If it matters, I use HW monitor pro to measure temperatures on both devices. Both devises have same programs and tested with just one game (Dota 2). And I live in a tropical country... (philippines) so it does tend to be pretty hot.
