I know how to get saved games working again for Crysis 1, Crysis 2, Quake 4, TRON 2.0, Ghostbusters, and even Mirror's Edge. It's actually very easy, and I'm hoping that this idea can be applied to your games as well.

Basically, I found the saved games in a few different places. Unfortunately, it has been a very long time since I've played any games let alone saved the Game Saves for formatting and starting over. However, I think that my EA games (Crysis 1 and 2 and Mirror's Edge) created their own folders in My Documents. I think Quake 4 had the gave saves in the games program folder, I think TRON 2.0 did it the same as Quake 4, and Ghostbusters I think used the Windows Saved Games folder.

Regardless of where my games actually put the game saves, I had to save some other files too, such as my profile file for the game and maybe even a special file that was kind of like a Master File Table for the game saves for the game in question.

I think I'm making it sound way more difficult than it actually is because I remember it was really easy to back up my games so that I could continue where I left off after formatting and starting over.

If your games are all Steam games, then there might be special software that can help you.
