they are offering pre-tested guaranteed overclock chips as high as 4.8Ghz

these are OEM chips not retail boxed.

anyway they are a great company to deal with and only lost out on my order due to not having the Gryphon, although now they do and my order is on hold with the other supplier while they wait for the Gryphon (aaarrrgghh)

anyway I must not steer off topic.

I would get the Haswell, simply to have the latest socket and the great motherboard features too, even if it does perform similar to the previous gen, its not worse.
They guarantee that 4.8 can be done with < 1.35v, which is nice

Are there any US stores that offer chip binning services like this?

The benchmark part I got from www.CPUBenchmark.net but can't find the i5-4670k on there anymore just the i7-4770k which of course is slightly better. In my attempt to find where I saw that I did see several other sites that list the 4670k slightly higher than the 3570k so I admit to being wrongly informed previously. Bad news for me since I bought a 3570k back in March after not being able to find a release date for the Haswell. I would have waited three months as I had to buy what is not an outdated motherboard too mad.gif seems to be my luck with timing. I had been using my E-8500 wolfdale until now so it's not like I was in a rush. Really sucks.
