why don't you flash a non boost bios to your card.
my msi came with both switches having boost bios which has 1250 core voltage just flashed with another msi bios and lowered it to 1090

I am not able to flash any sort of bios on this cards. It uses power phase 4+1+1, which is not normal for any 7950 card. Everybios you flash it fails. Also it comes with bios switch both bios switches are boost bios. I am frankly tried dealing with this issues.

if you are not going to oc - get the Gigabyte.

Use the code for $10 off. sell the games if you have them already. might skip tax here, too.
