Why should they listen to you? Why should the want to see you? What's to advertise? If they already know what key words to listen to, why not just advertise those keywords since it's already such common sense?

And ya, they showed COD. Lame as crap. But again, that OBVIOUSLY wasn't the star of the show for them. E3 is right around the corner. What they showed pretty much expanded on every aspect of what's available on the 360 to the 10th degree. What did we see from PS4's reveal, another Killzone, how innovative and exciting rolleyes.gif

I mean 24/7 as in everytime you play on Xbox.

In terms of advertisement I mean I wouldnt be suprised if for instance I spent all my times whilst playing on Xbox talking about how I love pizza only to have a dominoes email sent over and over.

well for now that's just speculation (all created by a the pessimistic at mind). It's clear what MS's true intentions were for the kinect. Otherwise they could've easily just tucked away a microphone somewhere on the front of the console itself or just listen on all the xbox live chatter happening 24/7 around the world

Lol someone would find that microphone when they take the Xbox One apart to see the hardware inside, thats probably why they opted to be open about it biggrin.gif

The government could easily turn on your phone cam and mic and listen/watch everything you do. Do you really think that of all the gadgets you own that only Xbox One has the ability to do such things? Like I have said multiple times.. You shouldn't have anything to hide so why do you care. Every google search you do is logged to your IP and is then used to display specific advertisements. If you are worried about getting spam e-mail then get a better spam filter or be smart and create a spam e-mail to use for your xbox account. It is as easy as that.

I also believe this is the same thread where someone said that xbox was also offline like the PS3. That is untrue but maybe for a couple of hours during a large OS update. It did not last two months and they didn't have all their credit card information hacked like PS3 did. I'm just glad I never tied a Credit Card to my PSN account.

Exactly.

MICROSOFT have a huge market share in the laptop market, almost all of which ships with what? A webcam and microphone.

APPLE have a huge market share in the tablet market, GOOGLE have a huge market share in the phone almost all of which ships with what? A webcam and microphone, plus location data, email info, credit card details, daily "this is what I do every day" facebook logs.

And phones and tablets are easily awoken from their "always on, but not really" standby modes via "notifications" that are sent over to them from REMOTE SOURCES.

Even televisions have webcams in them now........in the words of the red hot chilli peppers:

EMBOLDENED WORDS, BECausE I can.

People are never truly passionate about these kinds of things they protest about, which is why they all go ahead in the end.

The worst thing is that once enough complaining is done, the conversation gets so boring and dies, with only the actual people who really cared (not usually a lot of people) drowned out by the noise of what everybody is screaming about this month, because all the headlines said so.

As with all these things, its frustrating to see all the headless chicken like behaviour, but headless chickens eventually stop moving and people either eat them or they rot and people throw them away because they smell.

Chickens AND EMBOLDENED WORDS, because I can.

Cheers.

I dunno, I guess im just different for expecting an awesome gaming machine in the next Xbox, when in reality all we are gonna get is a PoS entertainment centre with kinect 2.0, which I dont and have never planned on using [kinect].

So guess im going Ps4 next.

How have you come to the conclusion that the XBOX ONE is not an 'awesome' gaming machine? The specs are much better than the Xbox 360 and that console is still producing quality games. Just beacuse the PS4 appears to have better hardware does not mean the Xbox One will not have epic titles. If that is how you judge a system then just stop while your ahead and grab a computer since that hardware is much cheaper and produces better results.

You cant genuinely have high hopes that come E3 the Xbox One will showcase games and everyone will be sat in awe at how good they are?

If Microsoft had any good games to showcase they would have done on the reveal video, instead they showed COD with dog.

What has the PS4 showed so far? One game? Granted, Xbox's decision to show off pretty much no games was a dumb decision, but maybe they're saving up for E3 (who am I kidding, of course they are)

Everybody here is acting like the xbox is just a glorified TV tuner with a mic/camera with some mysterious but dubious plot.....and why? We've only seen like 30-40 minutes of it in action....
