If Microsoft had any good games to showcase they would have done on the reveal video, instead they showed COD with dog.

You're right, who in their right mind would think that E3 would be a good place to show off new titles on a brand new console? How stupid of us right? E3 and games? Pffft!! rolleyes.gif

I know right?

What they actually should have done, is give us all the good stuff two weeks away from E3, then spend their time at E3 making up time talking about Kinect and television because they already showed off the big guns two weeks ago.

EVERYBODY would have loved that!

EXACTLY! +rep

I don't understand the logic that some people have. It wasn't a game reveal. It was a console reveal and they did exactly what you are supposed to do... talk about the console. Games will be talked about at E3. Gives the developers more time to refine their product and why pull attention from yourself at E3 by releasing information prematurely after paying so much money for a good spot.

Not everybody is as positive thinking tongue.gif

Look at the greater scheme of things. Showed off new technology and innovative features at conference (something that we haven't seen before), just tease us a little bit with games. Set the stage for E3's big reveal.

Or your idea. Have a 100 hour conference to answer every tinfoil hat question, only to be called deceptive liars, then show off every game from start to finish and leave nothing for the imagination for when E3 comes up. Oh and afterwards, they'd give everybody the console away for free and degrade their xbox live service so it could be free as well. Oh and then give games away for free because we all know how much supporting the developers is just plain silly......

So it looks awful because you don't approve or a few features. I don't believe the console was developed with you in mind. I find every feature they have to be a great idea. I don't even deal with used games anyways and that is a good way to continue to fund gaming developers so they can have that extra amount of money to produce a new game or even a sequel. You don't even know how much that is going to be. People drop $.99 on stupid applications all the time. It could be the same thing but delivers you something much more. With that feature I'm sure used game stores won't be able to sell used games at $5.00 cheaper than retail.

Or they just got certain details out of the way so when E3 does come around, they can focus solely on the games. Sure it's just speculation, but it seems kind of likely.

and before anyone tosses a fanboy remark in my direction, I only own PC and a DS and I don't even plan on buying either of the new consoles. Maybe way down the road when it gets cheaper, I'll pick it up for Forza (I wish MS would just bring that game to the PC.. That'll never happen, though. frown.gif), but that would be all I would use it for.

So I suppose you find the requirement to log in once every 24 hours to be a great feature too?

Maybe its just me, but I found most new stuff pointless. Why would I need to be able to tell my Xbox console to turn on? Im not so lazy that I can be arsed to get off the sofa to pickup the remote.

All I wanted in the new Xbox was it to have decent games, I dont care for any of that TV integration rubbish.

Yeah, the Xbox One should be built to your exact specifications. When will gamers get tired of being armchair businessmen?
