Obviously we should all be happy because we were given new and exciting ways to watch TV on our TV's along with finding out we will be having to pay extra bonus fees for every single Microsoft service that we do not want. Including exciting new features such as used game fees and paying extra to play our games online again. Fantastic ! Just what every console 'Gamer' wants to hear.

Now it all makes sense rolleyes.gif
They did show a couple of games?
Why show all of your games when E3 is right around the corner?

Derp? Herp?

What they actually should have done, is give us all the good stuff two weeks away from E3, then spend their time at E3 making up time talking about Kinect and television because they already showed off the big guns two weeks ago.

EVERYBODY would have loved that!

7 days actually, can't wait thumb.gif

Yeah I'm a fan boy because I didn't all of a sudden expect Live to be free when nothing suggested such. Not only that, but I believe that it's not a bad thing that Microsoft is focusing on broadening the average consumer's (aka the ones not on OCN) experience with their console because not everyone wants to have a multiple devices when they can have one. As a fanboy, I must've forgot everyone in the world has a HTPC and wouldn't possibly think the TV features on Xbox One are kinda cool and can bring somewhat of a difference experience to your living room. Everyone is a hardcore gamer and I'm just a simple casual gamer who happens to like some of the functions and a console release and realized E3 was in June, which was barely 3 weeks away and we could potentially see games there. I'm definitely on Microsoft Payola because I decided to reserve judgment.

You guys gotta get over yourselves and relax.

Coming from the guy with a PS3 as his sig rig...

I'm getting both the PS4 and Xbox One
Might not get them right away, probably will get the One first if anything. I just love having new tech.

I know what sony is offering and if the ps3 is any indication of whats to come on the ps4 compared to what MS did with the 360 over all those years, then using the ps4 for anything other then gaming is probably a waste of time. Don't forget Sony ruined the PS3's ability to stream with cinavia, and you bet you will see it on the ps4 as well. Though PS3 was already pointless that it couldn't decode mkv h264 anyway, stopped watching SD movies long long ago. 360 with windows media center can do it... Though it is still easier to use a HTPC.

My HTPC acts as my TV's main gaming rig, so other then pure exclusives I don't play console.

Don't take a genius to tell someone the difference between the two consoles and the experience they offered. I have had both consoles from a vary early age, got my first 360 before the ps3 even came out, So being able to tell you what is what is not had. If you only got a PS3 in its latter life, then you probably don't know some of the basic limitations they put their users through over the years. Not to mention taking away things like other OS, features some people paid to get. And the differences between XBL and PSN are pretty easy for anyone that has used both for long periods of time.

The Wii was a console that focused on a motion controls, sold like crazy iirc.
MS tossing in a Kinect to relate to that fan base is pretty solid move on their part.
I remember people saying the same thing you are saying about the wii before it launched, like how no ones wants it and "How is this a improvement". That console sure did prove them wrong.
Kinect on the 360 has a huge fan base as is doing vary well for itself, Don't see the Move doing all that well rolleyes.gif

Xbox One is nothing more then a 360 on steroids, giving a player options for all types of games. Just not the FPS guys. forcing the Kinect as a sold alone accessory wouldn't help them at all with bringing those features to games. Plus being able to see your face and log you into your personal xbox account is pretty good from a tech standpoint.

Seems you have nothing but blind hate for MS, you are unwilling to look at the bigger picture. All you see is Government conspiracies and Tin foil hats.

Sport games are the most played games people play. FIFA and Madden are the two biggest sport games, and the are played best on the xbox. COD is the most played online FPS on consoles, again played best on the xbox. If anything what MS showed off at the unveiling was aimed at most of their fan base.

MS uses the Kinect as a automation tool, you can still use the controller like you would on the 360. Not only that but it uses the Kinect to track the controller and your movement even while playing a FPS. So if they wanted you to move your body sideways for your charter to lean sideways as well, they could save a button and add that into the Kinect. Allowing the Kinect to be removed means you need to make backup methods for all those actions.

It's already been confirmed 15 exclusive Xbox One titles will be announced at E3.

Uhm, how many PS4 exclusives have been announced? 5?

Why do a reveal of a 'games' console if you're not going to show 'games' until E3? Should of just waited for E3 ! All that Xbox reveal did is damage the Xbox One...

At least we got a heads up about all the terrible extra DRM / used games / always online etc and extra fees and Kinect always watching etc, so people can make an educated choice on what to buy. I'm thankful for Microsoft in doing that so I can stay well clear of the Xbox One thumb.gif

Every normal gamer wants a decent games machine not a glorified VHS media player trying to give you TV on your TV..

That launch was the biggest media event flop of all time.
