[Metro]Chris Lewis confirms Xbox One Live Gold fee for online gaming plus ‘we will support second-hand games’. - Page 8

I don't even own an Xbox 360, nor have I ever subscribedtto Xbox live. There is a huge difference between the online services offered between it and PlayStation online. I've dealt with a ton of ****ty connection issues on my ps3. The Xbox live service is simply better.

That would be EA's doing, not Sony.

Can we start doing something about these threads? The sheer amount of them is getting a bit crazy.

I've never had a problem with my PS3 and i got the old backwards compatible version. My Xbox died even after they advertised the issue has been fixed and refused to replace my console even tho it malfunctioned because of their hardware.

I had a gold sub to micrsoft but after that RROD stunt since launch I'm not wasting my money with them.

E3 is coming soon and will hopefully answer most questions. Also you are not forced to read these threads are you?

RROD was a industry problem with the advent of lead free solder. MS was not the only one affected, though they are one that suffered the most out of it. HP and other brand laptops during the time had a huge problem, look at all those dv9000's that are broken, and videocards (8800gt for one). While getting too hot then cooling down is one of the reasons, sometimes you can be perfectly fine regarding temps and it could still happen.

We no longer have that problem in the industry, so any type of failure on that level will probably never happen again. MS had no control over the reason why the 360's RROD, if they were able to use lead based solder then that would never have happened. And if sony sold more 60gb BC PS3's then you would probably see a lot more YLOD playstations on the market. After the Jasper revision on the xbox, they are soild as ever. My jasper is quieter then my BC PS3 when not using the disc drive (I install games to HDD anyways), I only really use my ps3 for blu-rays though even after awhile you can hear fan noise during a quiet scene. TIM replaced on both consoles FYI.

Xbox live always has been a membership, just like Sam's Club, if you want access to their better experience then you gotta pay for it. Why people were expecting free is beyond me.
