no kidding, would people really accept this on pc if ms forced it on all windows users, if they wanted to play online? would they say it was worth it, for more unified social features?

Go to gamestop
pay for game
call ISP, get internet
pay for internet

Pay for a game, pay x for the rest of the game's features! You already do this on PC. Congrats. thumb.gif

Cause everyone plays on the PC rolleyes.gif

For those with no PC or have no lust to even play a single game on a computer. They are getting a better experience on the 360 even if you have to pay to play online. The Online experience is so dull on the ps3 side that it is only good if you really only like playing by yourself, not with friends. Why would this change, MS is not stupid they know more about online gaming and what people what in a online gaming system then most.

Plus I would be more then happy to see gamestop burn with the new xbox one's used game requirements. Can't stand that place.

You're right in the ballpark mate. Just don't even bother anymore dude, i've tried as much as you have to get people to realise that the xbox one will still create a lot of revenue for Microsoft. They aren't stupid, with the millions paying for gold why would they stop it now? Just don't bother anymore, half the people saying its a "nail in the coffin" will still buy one or never had the intention to buy one in the first place and are using these threads to up there post count. thumb.gif

Except people don't pay for internet just to play games, in fact playing games in such a minimal part of it. You notice all the backlash that EA and Ubisoft got for trying to force Always Online.

--

As for Xbox Live, I actually do believe it's worth the premium over PS3. The Community on Xbox Live is far better, the features are way better than anything PSN or whatever Wii has come with as of now. Most importantly, the fact that you do have to pay monthly/yearly for an account prevents pre-teens who get banned for doing something stupid to just make a new account and do it again. Not saying it doesn't happen, but it does restrict the majority who can't steal their parents credit card.

As of now Xbone has way more problems than choosing to do what they've always done with XBL.

If you want it bad enough your will pay for it. Im not one to complain, but i really do hate paying xbox live every year especially when its not worth ****.
I paid last year for it and all i use it for is for Hulu and Netflix at this point. I pay a subscription to both hulu and netflix as well...So why do i need to pay xbox/microsoft to access these two companies just to watch my shows, when i have a perfectly good PC to do both? Makes more sense that we all pay for internet service to be connected to the web, but xbox live is a joke. Pretty much they want to charge the people who don't use PC to be an intermediate PC/TV service themselves. Talk about taking advantage of your consumers. I say if you pay for xboxlive gold, then that should include a certain amount of paid subscriptions for the year included thumb.gif

In what possible way is Xbox Live better than any other service.. All these below offer online gaming service for free. PC is the most enjoyable experience with the least amount of kids screaming profanity as I'm playing COD or whatever, more mature piers. I have found the same with Wii U and to some extent the PS3. I have had terrible experience with Xbox Live kiddies screaming weird things while playing lol. Why would I want to pay extra for that?

With PC games 'Online is free'.
With Android games 'Online is free'.
With MAC games 'Online is free'.
With DS games 'Online is free'.
With PS3 games 'Online is free'.
With Wii U 'Online is free'.

Literally every other gaming platform out there gives you free access to play the games you already purchased online. Microsoft are the only ones that don't. It is in no way a better service, in fact it's so full of advertising and ways to pay for other services you already receive for free, I would say it is in fact the worst of all internet services.

Like I said before I will vote with my wallet. Will never support greed like this.
