I live like 15minutes away from microcenter so it wasn't bad for me, I just hope I don't run into any problems with this gear. Really wanted a gigabyte mobo but damn they were EXPENSIVE and this GD65 wasn't tooo bad of a deal.

I thought the processor was supposed to be $199 as advertised? Am I missing something?

But congrats and good luck with your build! thumb.gif

Do you think the prices are going to go down? Like the 4770K for 350$ do you think the price would go down since it was just released?

One of each type. You can snag a 4770K and a 4670K if you want.

Those prices make Ivybridge very attractive.

For those who want even better price on the mobo+CPU combo, show the sales person the following link: http://microcenter.com/site/brands/intel-processor-bundles.aspx#

It seems that there's a difference between the individual listed price and the specific bundled combos. For example, a UD4H is listed as 230 (or 190 with 40 discount) plus 280 for the CPU so total is 470. But on that page it's listed as 430. If you're signed up to microcenter's weekly email you can probably get the mobo for $5 cheaper since its listed at $144.99 with CPU purchase.

This is what I plan to do when I stop by the store tomorrow.

I just came back from Microcenter. I was about to pull the tigger on the UD4H, but I tried to look up that board online. There isn't much info on it. I think only Micro center sells that board. If its just a UD3H with different color and name, then it just overpriced, even for $144.

It is MC exclusive and the only Gigabyte board any of them are carrying currently

Plus if they do pricematch, for example motherboards, then you will lose their discount like the 40 dolar off.
That sucks! My MC (St Louis Park, MN) price matches anything I show them sold by Amazon or Newegg and offers the bundle discounts, no questions asked, sometimes close to 50% off. Guess it's just depends who manages the store rolleyes.gif
