Going to do my first watercooling system, need help :)

Thread Starter
Hello all,
I've been doing a lot of systems but never really went to the water cooling path.
Since I got the obsidian 900D case I feel like there is a lot of space to water cool and thought I should start.

Currently this is what I have:

Asus rampage IV extreme
i7 3930k
2x GTX TITAN
16GB RAM (4x4)

Since I live in the middle east we don't have a local shop that sells water cooling stuff, so I will order it online and I don't want to make mistakes as it will cost 3 times more to return an item, this is why I'm seeking help, I want to get everything correct from the first time.

My budget is around $1k, I was thinking about getting a 3rd TITAN or the new 8 core Haswell i7 once it comes out, but I decided to spend it on water cooling instead which brings me to this question (how easy is it to upgrade a system that has water cooling installed in it?), also the reason I'm thinking of a 3rd TITAN is because I'm using 3 monitors each 2560x1600 for a total of 7680x1600 which demands a lot of vram and power.

So here is why I want water cooling:
- It looks cool
- Bring temps down for longer life expectancy
- quiter
- changes GPU from 2 slot space to 1 slot so I can add a new PCI-e card

Currently my mobo has 6 pci-e slots, having 2 GPUs makes me lose 1 additional slot which is hidden under the second GPU so an EK waterblock will make that slot accessible. Currently I use all PCI-e slots, using 4x NIC card, Satellite receiver card, RAID card as well as the 2 GPUs

Now getting into the parts.

I have no plans to cool the motherboard, only the CPU and 2x GPU (and maybe 3x GPU in the future)

Things that are a obvious:

CPU water block
GPU water block
15ft Pipe (1/2 inch?)
Radiator (how many? thinking about 4 on bottom and 3 on top)
which pump is recommended?
Coolant reservoir

what about the barbs and fittings and the rest of the stuff?

Thanks smile.gif

This will give you a basic understanding on how water cooling works. Videos are in there as well to see what I am talking about
