overclocking normally at last!

what a pile'o'@#*$ people,i finally started overclocking my lil 3200+ venice athlon lollol
ofc i overclocked it before, but then again if i wouldnt overclock i wouldnt be on the forum (my original reason is overclocking my 6600LE tho )
right, soo i put the memory rated speed to 333 and set T1 timing, what does it mean?i didnt feel quite well with T2 lol,and raised the fsb to 230 from 220,it passed 20 minutes of prime easily (i have no patience to wait more)
is 20 minutes enough to deterime moderatly good stability?now i raised the fsb to 240 and turturing ^^
how far do you think i can push this proc? lol pc3200+ memory ofc.
now my computer feels 200 mghz faster!

Nice work so far
Now that 3200+ Venny running @ 2400MHz will perform like a 3800+!
The CPC is actually not a RAM timing, it's a RAM to MB timing effect. Anyway, some use 2T when the RAM is pushed to it's max and they are trying to squeeze a little more speed out of it. The CPC T2 offers more stability.
Your on the right track, patience and small increases now is the wise way to go so you don't crash the OS and ultimately have to reload it.
Keep your full load temps below 50c.
Further more, with out the stepping of the IHS it's not possible to predict the results you might acheive.
The stepping would look line CABGE0549XXXX being the CABGE the stepping 0549 or 2005 49th week.

You gotta run Prime for at least a good couple of hours - stability freaks say 8 - before you get any idea on stability or temps

Or OTTC which will give you a good test in 30 minutes. Once I get to the end of my OCing I go with the far more demand and time consuming likes of Prime 95.

thanks Duke!
well, its winter, and my max load temps are 40C currently and i have a 7000b led cooling the CPU,and i think its doing a lausy lausy job considering that the ambient temp is 25C
soo T2 is better then T1 on the max of the ram?then again i set the speed of the ram to 333 and now increasing FSB,meaning that i made it in to 373 ram now?or w00t?

A Zalman HSF? They work best with high case air flow.

As long as your RAM runs at or near it's rated speed (400) leave it at 1T, you might have to switch it to 2T if you overclock the RAM much higher, but for now you're fine.

You should easily be able to hit 2500mhz, i'm currently stuck around 2550mhz with mine.

hmmm, well,i want to go faster then 2.5 ghz....perhaps 2.8 ghz but not really counting on that.
btw, even the 200 mghz i added (currently at 2.4 ghz) give my pc a performance boost, which is quite nice ^^ a NOTICABLE performance boost too
anyone even reached higher then 2.6 ghz with venice before?

Sure, i can obtain 2.8ghz but not stable, i will improve my cooling soon and see if i can get it past 2.6 stable.
