Quick flash drive suggestion thread (sort of)

Thread Starter

Ok,

So, my ADATA S102 randomly died on me. Says there is no media on the drive, so the NAND chip is basically dead. It wasn't the best flash drive anyways, not that I need something super fast, but now that I would like a new flash drive in fairly short order (by the end of the month for fresh formatting, updating stuff, etc.) I figured I'd get a decent USB3 one.

Doing my research, it appears this is the best drive in terms of price, performance, per gigabyte is the Corsair Voyager GT Turbo. I'm actually kind of surprised no one has been talking about this here. In any case, this product may not be out for quite a while (possibly a month+) so I'm wondering if anyone knows a drive that is just as good or better for a similar price.

My research has yielded that the second best drive to this is the Kingston DataTraveler 3 SuperDuper or whatever it's called, but it's write speed is only 70 vs the Corsair's 105 and it's read is 170 vs the Corsairs 250.

There is no posted spec for this flash drive, but it would be a 128gb flash drive for 100 bucks. To me, storage is more important than speed.
