It's not that people can't learn, but people do not want to be bothered to learn a completely unnecessary UI being forced upon them by a company trying to consolidate desktops and touchscreens together. We don't care for it and we don't want it. It has nothing to do with intelligence or the Start button, but rather getting forced to adjust to a new UI just because MS wanted to try and herd us. Especially when considering that all the people here on OCN knows how to assemble computers in their sleep, you really think we can't figure out the new UI if we really, really wanted to?
I personally have a ton of other things I rather do with my time, free or otherwise, than pick up a UI that I don't consider worthwhile of my time. I could be fishing, BBQ'ing, listening to music, playing games, ect. Why should I waste time adjusting to W8's layout, especially when W7 works incredibly well? I don't have to and I won't is the only correct answer here. MS will continue to find this out.
