Why are people hating on Call of Duty: Ghost?

Thread Starter
I have a question guys.
Why are there so many hates on Call of Duty: Ghost?
Isn't CoD:G running on a new engine? Technically, an upgraded one from their old engine, but isn't it the same thing as Battlefield and other AAAs titles where developer upgrade their previous engine rather a "brand new engine" that is made from scratch?

I am just saying though.
What is your opinions about Call of Duty: Ghost?

The game will debut an engine built by the developer, originally described as a new engine, but later clarified to be the same engine as used in previous games with "significant" upgrades.

Gee another one of these topics...
Deal with it, hardcore pc gamers will always hate on CoD (after part4), and with good reason.
Since the pc in your sig is your first gaming pc, you wouldn't really understand anyway.

A lot of people see the series as a greedy cash-in that are barely more than a reskin of previous games, that combined with a horrible community and some really terrible game engine problems and gameplay that a lot of people think is just terrible.

That plus the perception that CoD is one of the driving forces behind the "dumb everything down and add more explosions and it'll be great!" mentality that most developers/publishers have for FPS means that a lot of people just hate the CoD series. Plus, they flat out lied about the new engine!

Yeah a lot of devs will just upgrade an engine over time, but not many have the "testicular fortitude" to say that it's a brand new engine and then say 'lolz jk'

And one more reason ....

Deluxe and Shimme said it best. I don't even care that it's not a brand new engine... I think people fuss over this too much. If I recall correctly, CryEngine 2 which was one of the most revolutionary game engines in the last 10 years, wasn't made completely from scratch.

Probably fatigue, we get hit over the head with the same thing year after year and none of it has really changed since CoD4?

Quality just has not been improved since 2007. They say they made improvements on the engine, but i dont see it. Same with the footage shown of ghost.

1) False advertising of a new engine
2) Crap Multiplayer experience, Maps being very small
3) Same engine for every new game (they might as well market it as DLC)

The series is completely broken....Have you ever hopped on Multiplayer (on console) only to be greeted with players abusing the ADS Autoaim exploit by repeatedly tapping the ADS button from Quickscopers and run-n-gunners (commonly seen in killcams)...I really see no MP competition on the console side of this game series because how common these things you'd run into virtually every Match. Last decent CoD game I've played was BlackOps on PS3 which they actually got rid of that quickscope junk that actually made MP somewhat decent for the first time.

I'm glad I don't own any of CoD MW# games since my experience with the series was borrowed from friends.

All the reasons why I wouldn't touch the series with a 20 foot pole.
